A Dutch address, a wider network

Karmageddon Media was based in the Netherlands, while its release record connects acts from several countries. The label profile lists styles spanning death, black, doom, folk, thrash and power metal. That breadth does not make the catalog a single coherent scene. It does make the label a meeting point where different underground networks could share distribution and visibility.

The distinction between place and style matters in heavy-metal writing. A band’s location may shape how it travels, who hears it and which traditions it draws on, but a passport is not a genre tag. A useful archive can show geography without turning it into a musical explanation.

Read the roster carefully

The roster is not a census of every band in a country, nor proof that all artists had equal promotion or reach. It is evidence of selection: particular groups were attached to a particular catalog at a particular time.

We use the map metaphor to invite comparisons and further listening. Follow a country link, then a band, then a specific edition. The resulting route is concrete; broader claims about national scenes require sources beyond a label list.
